Steak & Shrimp Yaki Udon
Ingredients:
- 1 pack udon noodles
- 8-10 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 ribeye or sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup bok choy, chopped (green parts only)
- Green onion, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar or mirin
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together all the sauce ingredients. Set aside.
- Cook the udon noodles: Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.
- Season the steak: Season the steak with salt and pepper.
- Cook the steak: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned on all sides, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Cook the shrimp: Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté the vegetables: Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add the onions, peppers, and bok choy and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened.
- Assemble the dish: Add the cooked udon noodles, sauce, steak, and shrimp to the pan with the vegetables. Toss to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
