🛒 Ingredients

For the Turkey Wings:

  • 1 lb turkey wings
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic herb seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Maggi seasoning (or soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp oil (avocado or vegetable)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth

For the Gravy:

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (or more for desired thickness)

🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Turkey Wings

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Spray or rub turkey wings with oil, then season well with Creole seasoning, garlic herb seasoning, and minced garlic.

Toss the wings with sliced onions and Maggi seasoning in a large bowl.

2. Bake Covered

Transfer wings and onions to a greased 9×9 baking dish.

In the same bowl, mix 1½ cups chicken broth with the leftover seasoning, then pour over the wings.

Add butter slices on top, cover tightly with aluminum foil, and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

3. Uncover & Crisp the Skin

Remove foil and baste the wings with pan juices.

Increase oven temp to 400°F (204°C) and bake uncovered for 20 more minutes, until skin is golden and slightly crispy.

4. Make the Gravy

Pour the pan drippings into a small pot. Add 2 cups chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a splash of cold water, then stir into the pot.

Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened. Strain if desired for a smooth finish.

5. Serve

Pour that silky homemade gravy over the wings.

Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or cornbread.

💡 Pro Tips

Want extra richness? Add a splash of heavy cream to the gravy.

For spicier wings, toss in a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper flakes.

Always taste your gravy before serving—adjust salt or seasoning if needed!
