Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- ⅓ cup Tony’s marinade (plus extra for topping)
- ½ tsp Tony’s seasoning
- 4 slices cheese (American, cheddar, or your choice)
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Mayonnaise (or preferred sauce)
Instructions
Step 1: Season the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with ⅓ cup Tony’s marinade.
Add ½ tsp Tony’s seasoning and mix until evenly combined.
Form into small, loose balls — about 3–4 ounces each.
Step 2: Smash & Cook
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Place a beef ball on the hot surface, cover with parchment paper, and press down firmly with a spatula to flatten.
Cook for 2–3 minutes until crispy on the edges.
Flip, then brush a little extra marinade on the cooked side.
Step 3: Melt the Cheese
Place a slice of cheese on each patty right after flipping.
Let it melt while the second side finishes cooking, about 1–2 minutes.
Step 4: Assemble the Burger
Toast buns if desired.
Add lettuce and tomato to the bottom bun.
Place the cheesy patty on top.
Spread mayo (or your sauce of choice) on the top bun and close it up.
Step 5: Serve
Enjoy immediately while hot and juicy.
